St Lawrence Chamber Music Seminar

at Stanford

June 20 - 29, 2025

"I was very excited to attend the Seminar, …. All the lectures, classes, films, and concerts were inspiring beyond what I could have dreamt of. I have attended numerous summer festivals over the years, and I have absolutely no hesitation in declaring this one the most enriching. The way it is put together provides a uniquely inspiring and relaxing setting for learning and creativity to flourish."
— Rachel Desoer (cello, Cecilia String Quartet)

Most participants fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO). San Jose International Airport (SJC) is also a fine option. We  do not advise flying into Oakland (OAK.

Transport Options

  • Download and set up a LYFT or Uber account before you arrive.

  • With advance planning you can navigate public transportation for less cost. From SFO take BART one stop to MILLBRAE STATION, switch to CALTRAIN towards San Jose. Get off at PALO ALTO STATION. You will be on the correct side of the train tracks. Take free Marguerite Shuttle X or Y to Tresidder Student Union stop (WEEKDAYS ONLY). This trip will probably take two hours.

  • If you're feeling swanky, set up a ride with Palo Alto Limo. SUV averages $85 plus tip. Let them know you have multiple people with instruments and luggage.
